Jim Gilmore, CIC
Jim has been part of the Livingston County business community since 1994. He has extensive experience in personal and commercial insurance risk analysis, problem solving and customer service.
After over 20 years in management and team leadership roles in underwriting and marketing for major insurance companies, Jim joined a local independent agency as an agent and took on increasingly challenging assignments -- eventually becoming the Director of Business Development. He was responsible for sales and marketing of commercial and personal insurance products.
Jim and his wife Anne have lived in Hamburg Township for 16 years. He is involved in Rotary, having been president of both the Brighton Rotary and the Livingston Sunrise Rotary clubs. Jim's also a member of Hamburg Kiwanis Club and a Board member of the Pinckney Lakeland Hamburg Hell Chamber of Commerce. He has served on the Hamburg Township Board of Review and has chaired fundraising events for the Brighton Chamber of Commerce and the Howell Education Foundation.
Jim joined HIA Hamburg Pinckney Insurance as an Agent/Partner at the inception of the agency in June, 2009 and is responsible to his clients as their trusted insurance advisor, for the day-to-day operation of the agency and for new sales.

Joe Knopp, CIC, AIS, AU
Joe Knopp is an insurance professional with over twenty years of experience. He began his career right out of college underwriting home and auto insurance at Auto-Owners Insurance. He worked in underwriting and marketing for other companies, including Citizens, and finally served as Marketing Manager with SECURA Insurance.
In 2005, he became a partner in an independent agency in Ann Arbor, where he served clients for five years before joining the Hamburg Pinckney Agency in 2010. In contrast to working on the company side, as an agent, Joe is able to build relationships with his clients and find ways to help them manage their risks by using insurance as a tool to transfer those risks to the company that best fits their needs.
Joe lives in Brighton and has one daughter, who teaches Music Education to elementary students in suburban Chicago. He's a member of many organizations, including the Ann Arbor West chapter of BNI, Ann Arbor Ski Club and others. He is active with the American Cancer Society in volunteer fund raising activities. In his free time, Joe enjoys, skiing, biking, guitar, outdoor activities and networking.
